The Gulf Stream continues its musical explorations with a 4th release, Dekobe EP. The duo and the remixers are offering a bass infused released where syncoped beats are flirting with house, 2-step and hip-hop.
The EP begins with a slowed down hip-hop remix for Racine, a producer from Gatineau.
Polaris follows, a sounding collaboration between the emotional synths of Pax Kingz duo and the low end exploration of The Gulf Stream
The deep dub of Dekobe let the melody slowly unfolds and opens up for Montreal's Hissy Fit remix, reshuffling the stems of O.P.E.R.A. to give a dancier 2-step feel to the original.
Math Rosen also takes O.P.E.R.A. to an other level through a 153 bpm juke inspired remix.
Jonah K and Living~Stone are working on the lower end of the sonic spectrum with deep and heavy remixes of Innerspace.
The Ep finishes with a live performance of Drink Me, as seen here
